Rev. Goodwin-Solem is an ordained interfaith minister in good standing with the Chaplaincy Institute of Berkeley and the Interfaith congregation of the Healing arts Institute. Her previous employment includes owning and operating multiple Martial Arts studios in Sacramento and Placerville, California as well as satellite schools at Travis AFB and Mather AFB. Her experience includes teaching classes and health instruction for seniors and all ages through the Rancho Cordova Parks and Recs dept. This experience encompasses 1982 through 2004.
Rev. Amy Goodwin-Solem also enjoys 15 years within the recovery families of addiction and codependency using tools such as 12 step programs and community groups as well as spiritual awareness and growth.
Rev. Goodwin-Solem obtained her BA in Religious studies from Regent University in Virginia. She completed an interfaith ordination in 2011 from the Chaplaincy Institute for Arts and Interfaith Ministry in Berkeley, California. Her education includes four units of Clinical Pastoral Education all completed at the VA Hospital at Mather, California, and she is currently a chaplain office’s volunteer at the Mather VA Hospital. She is also a Staff Chaplain with First Call Hospice of Sacramento, California. Her experience includes over 2000 hours of pastoral care including teaching spirituality and exploring spirituality within the recovery communities of Sacramento CA.
